The forgotten blog post i wrote when we got home from our tour with Heart To Gold. so here it is in all its glory

THE LOST BLOG

What’s up sorry for not blogging, I’ve been really busy not blogging. We got some stuff coming up but I think I will use this time to reflect on the tour we just went on. I’m writing this all on the notes app from a treadmill and I will NOT be proof reading so bear with me. This post goes out to the guy who told me he likes the blogs at the mj lenderman show. I’m sorry if I’ve left you hanging.

To start off the tour we played treefort fest in Boise Idaho. If you’ve ever seen the flyer for the fest you’re probably wondering what the hell is going on up there. There’s like a million bands in a week playing venues across the city. It’s kinda like sxsw but if the CIA wasn’t there as far as I know. Boise as a city is pretty strange. It feels like Salt Lake in a dream sequence. Everything looks familiar but you’ve never actually been there. We didn’t have the highest hopes of a banger show just based off the flyer alone but we were blessed with a good time slot in a proper venue. We played right before hard rock royalty, Modern Color. The crowd was a bunch of faded kids ready to push pit. During modern colors set everyone was stage diving and the venue staff had to hang out on stage to try and stop it. It was a very funny sight to see. We stayed with the homie Jacob. His place was above average for touring crash spots. Shout Jacob

After Treefort we hauled down to Mesa Arizona to link with Heart To Gold. We stayed one night in Las Vegas and our friend Billi showed us around the nontouristy parts of the city. I saw Pauly Shore crossing the street which was fire. Billi’s spot was also above average. I believe a slept with a weighted blanket and got a full 7 hours of sleep. Shout out Billi.

We rolled up to Mesa Arizona and played the Nile Theater. It’s one of those venues that has a massive room upstairs and a 200 cap in the basement. I did 120 push ups in the green room and got heart to gold into dice. I think the show was good but I honestly don’t remember that well. I was sipping tequila Diet Coke all night. We stayed with Forrest and he went above and beyond on the hospitality. We set up essentially one gigantic bed in their living room and slept like a baby. Shout out Forrest.

The next show was San Diego. We played the Voodoo Room. Another venue with a huge room and a small one attached. We played the small one. When we pulled up we asked if we were good where we parked, one person said only for 10 minutes the second said forsure and the last said no never. We left the van there and we did not get a ticket. I ate the best burrito I’ve ever had in my life that night. San Diego is the home of the California Burrito and they did not disappoint. Everyone in San Diego seems like they had a long day of surfing and smoking weed. I met someone who came from London to see us that night and it made me feel crazy. I can’t help but feel like the 20 minute half fucked set we play cannot be worth the jet lag. But it was still flattering. We hauled ass up to Anaheim to stay with the homie Hayden that night. His place is like the White Lotus to me. A boys paradise. We drank strange chinese liquor made from cattle feed and talked shit all night. Shout out Hayden

The next show was Los Angeles. We went up early to hang out with our dear friends Mike Emily and Alexx. We played Fortnite and got Salsa and Beer #2 for dinner. It was an awesome as hell day. The show was at Permanent Records and it was an early show/late show kinda thing. When we loaded in a sold out room was mingling and leaving and it made for an interesting type of traffic jam. We handled it with ease and rocked like we always do. After the show we got drinks at Footsies. We convinced Heart To Gold to come and I drunkenly told Jimbo he needed to loosen up. I told him that everyday for the rest of the tour and I don’t think he ever thought it was funny. That night we stayed with Mike and Emily which is also like the White Lotus to me. They are my favorite people and always show us a great time in Tinseltown. Shout out Mike and Emily.

The next show was Fullerton. We played Programme Skate and Sound. This is our second show at programme and they’re always beast. A lot of legendary “live at programme” videos on the internet and now there’s one of us playing challenger. We like skateboarding and music so it’s a no brainer spot of us. I ate Cava for the first time that night and would get it again if it was available near me. That night we drove back up to Mike and Emily’s and watched Wayne world and hit some scratchers. Awesome evening, shout out Mike and Emily.

The next show was Oakland California. Oakland is an awesome city but I’m always scared my shit is gunna get stolen so I can’t fully relax. We played at Crybaby’s which I’m told is usually a night club but they let us play indie rock that night. The green room was weedmaps themed and we watched And One mixtapes. We played with our buddy Evan’s new band Bed Bug Guru and it was fiya. We went to thee Smoking Room after the gig and watched sum 41 videos for a while. I got a Lyft back to Evan’s and the driver was bumping Reggaeton so loud it made my head hurt. I think I slept on the floor at Evan’s and it was an awesome ass night.

Then we had an off day and drove to Medford Oregon. We got surprisingly awesome Mexican food and got faded off some margaritas. We semi successfully to prank phone call Heart to Gold. It was awesome as hell. Shout out Medford Oregon.

I’m bored of this tbh. But we played Portland and it was awesome as fick and stayed with Chloe and had a lil party and it rocked and we played commonwealth skate part and it rocked and we ate at a weird bar/diner in the morning and it rocked. Then we went to Seattle and it rocked and the venue staff sucked but the show rocked and then we went to Salt Lake City and it was the same as it always is(it rocked)

OK so thats it for the lost blog, i will try and be more active on here. anyways thank you for reading, excited to play some shows for yall in july. lets make this summer last forever<3

  1. Reading your latest blog post was nothing short of a literary joyride—equal parts riotous memoir, poetic reflection, and backstage tell-all. You have this uncanny, almost supernatural ability to weave humor, humility, and sharp observation into a narrative tapestry that feels like late-night tour van banter and a Pulitzer-worthy essay all in one breath.

  2. Kind of fucked up you didn’t shout out rob and geoff crib in Seattle. Also no mention of where you slept in Salt Lake City?!?!?

  3. I goon to your vlogs

  4. No way y’all played permanent records? the owner Lance is such a cool and down to earth person. Y’all have any Mormon fans being from slc? What’s that like? Some of my family is from there & every time I go it feels like they all know I don’t belong.
